Dramini Welcome Packet & Upcoming Auditions

Dear Dramini Families,

We are so excited to officially welcome you to our Dramini season! We have an amazing group of young performers, and we had an amazing first week! We played getting to know you games, ice-breakers and started to work on our audition dance! Tomorrow we will complete the audition dance and begin scoring our performers on their learning and theatricality! All students should please wear all black athletic clothing. 

Attached to this email, you will find the Dramini Welcome Packet, which includes important information for the season such as:

  • Audition details

  • The season calendar

  • Show schedule

  • And much more!

Please take a moment to review the packet carefully, as it will answer many common questions as we move into auditions and casting.

A few important reminders for this week:

  • The studio is OPEN tomorrow, 2/16.
    We will be completing dance auditions during class.
    If your student will be absent, they will be able to receive a dance audition score next week. We motivate them to practice on the student portal this coming week. Details for access will be sent out this week! Our student portal now has new parent features as well and we are excited for you to experience them!

  • Casting auditions will take place next Monday, the 23rd, during normal class time (4:30–6:00 PM).
    Students will be pulled individually by instructors to complete their audition, which includes:

    • A brief monologue

    • Approximately 60 seconds of singing

    Please note: Students need to prepare their monologue AND song by viewing the details that can be found in the Welcome Packet.

CSA – Welcome to Sherk, Jr!

Welcome to the new season: Shrek, Jr! Classes start this week and we couldn’t be more excited.

Welcome packets will arrive in your inbox later this week. In the meantime, here is what you need to know for first week of class!

What to bring: 
– A non-spill (please no side handle with straw Stanleys) water bottle labeled with your child’s name on it.
– Jazz shoes (if you have them). Please do not purchase NEW jazz shoes until after casting when shoe assignments come out. Please make sure these are labeled as well!

What to wear:
– Please wear your favorite dance attire. This can include Leotards or dance shirts and dance skirts, shorts, or leggings.
– Please no dresses or jeans.

What to expect:
Our first day will be filled with fun get to know you activites, learning songs & dances from our Shrek, Jr show.
